To start, you can select between two open map worlds to explore freely in single player offline, or you can connect online to compete with other hunters, your choice.
oh and it is a slower paced game, which is good because hunting is not all sunshine and rainbows, it takes time and patience just like in real life, you can’t always expect to bag on a big bull or a big buck right away, you have to "hunt" them down.all in all, graphics and everything, this is a solid 10 and if you’re a hardcore hunter like I am, you will be in love with this game. I do also wish you could like have a trophy room and the ability to take a climbing stand or a hang on stand and hang on whatever tree you want, plus it would be cool if they could simulate some type of rutting action where you go and set up at a place of your choosing and have a buck come in chasing some does or a buck nose down to the ground on a doe trail or a big bull elk in full rut chasing a cow, you know what I mean? just to make it that much more realistic. the only thing I do wish this game had, would be a bigger variety of animals to hunt (turkeys, ducks, geese, etc.) but the animals that are on there are good enough for me. sometimes, you can play a game long enough and get burnt out, but not with this one. The old cabelas deer hunt 2004/2005 season’s, plus the Cabela’s hunting expeditions were the best hunting games by far, but not until I played this.
it’s one of the most realistic hunting games I’ve ever played on a console. If you’re a true hunter and get home from the outdoors and wanna just kick back and play a game… this is the one for you.
